  • To obtain a better understanding of cognitive functioning, including but not limited to: problem solving, language, attention, memory, visual-motor, organization/planning, social/emotional functioning, academic skills, and school functioning. 


  • If you are questioning a learning disability, attention or executive functioning concerns, autism spectrum disorder, memory or language-based difficulty, or emotional, behavioral/psychiatric concerns (e.g., anxiety, depression, mood changes).

  • If you have concerns about an upcoming transition to middle school, high school, or college and would like recommendations on how to best prepare and support your child.


  • Dr. Marshall's focus is to help individuals and their families better understand the client's strengths and weaknesses, neurocognitive functioning, and the impact on school, work, or daily functioning while providing and/or clarifying diagnoses when appropriate. 


  • Before testing dates are scheduled, please plan for a free 15-20 minute consultative call to ensure that Dr. Marshall is an appropriate fit for your evaluation needs. 


  • If fit is appropriate, a 60-90 minute parent intake interview will be scheduled to better understand the referral questions/concerns and to collect a detailed developmental history so Dr. Marshall can build an individualized testing/assessment plan. 


  • Direct testing sessions with the client. The duration and amount of testing sessions are individualized based on client presentation and needs. 


  • A comprehensive written report, which often includes a developmental history, clinical interviews, observations, testing/assessment results, interpretation, diagnoses and/or recommended special education classifications (when appropriate), and evidence-based recommendations written in practical and understandable terms. 


  • Parent feedback session to go over the findings and recommendations while answering any questions.   


  • At the conclusion of the evaluation, you should have a better understanding of how your child thinks and learns, including areas of strengths and vulnerabilities, and how you and the school can most effectively support them.
