Compassionate Support & Personalized Care for Growth

Counseling for Teens

As a parent, it's heartbreaking to watch your child struggle. Whether they’re acting out at home or school, experiencing emotional outbursts, or showing signs of anxiety or withdrawal, it can feel overwhelming—especially when traditional parenting strategies like rewards and consequences just aren’t working.

You may notice your child:

  • Becoming easily frustrated or angry when things don’t go their way
  • Refusing to do homework or avoiding activities they once enjoyed
  • Struggling with perfectionism, anxiety, or fear of separation
  • Trying to control situations or displaying rigid, inflexible behavior
  • Dealing with grief, bullying, or low self-esteem

You’ve tried everything in your parenting toolbox, but nothing seems to help—and now you’re unsure how to best support them.

Dr. Marshall provides evidence-based counseling for children and pre-teens that addresses emotional regulation, anxiety, perfectionism, behavior issues, social difficulties, and more. She works collaboratively with parents and schools to develop practical strategies and tools that help children thrive both at home and in the classroom.

Through counseling, your child can learn healthier ways to express their emotions, manage stress, build confidence, and develop resilience—while you gain insight and support in your parenting journey.

Counseling for Young Adults

  • The second appointment typically focuses on treatment planning including goal setting and overview of sessions.
